Cveto Podlogar, a Slovenian ex-national team skier
and truly an outdoor guy  is now the first and
only none-Japanese authorized alpine guide
registered in the Alpine Guide Association of Japan,
invites you to all kinds of mountaineering activities
in Japan all the year round.
For millions of tourists from abroad,
not enough information on Japanese mountains have been provided,
which lead some foreign hikers, skiers and snow boarders to meet tragic accidents in mountains in Japan .
In early 1990fs Cveto Podlogar himself was one of those happy-go-lucky climbers
who didnft really understand why many climbers would meet accidents every year on easy-looking
mountains in Japan.
Mountains in Japan are much different from others in overseas.
With different flora and the islandfs restless change of weathers under unique climatic
and geographic conditions, one can easily face unexpected distresses.
Even for the Japanese, the best way to enjoy exploring these mountains is of course to find an
experienced local guide.
But it has been hard to find a local guide who understands English.
C&C Japan has been offering various guided tours for
the Japanese so far.
Customers ranging from beginner explorers to
high-level climbers mainly on weekend basis.
As we see more hikers from abroad in Japan,
we now formally announce offering guided tours for
Englishspeaking foreigners on weekday basis.
We hope more foreigners find the pleasures various
mountainsports in Japan,
which includes climbing on volcano, hiking to hot springs
in deep mountains and creek climbing called Sawanobori,
a unique water creek climbing sport in Japan. Telemark
and tour ski and snow board are also ourspecialties.

We spent 6 great backcountry skiing days with C&C in the Hakuba area over New Year.
Skiing was excellent, relativly short ascents with seals BC alpine style (skitouring)
and long descents in great, virgin powder snow off the beaten track.
Cvetofs guiding was very professional and we felt very safe at all times.
We stayed at a very traditional, japanese  style lodge including authentic food
and regular trips to various onsens. Last December,

we  joined the memorable iceclimbing C&C excursion on Yatsugatake in theNagano area.
Next we plan a Mt.Fuji climb on skis in Spring.
Guide Cveto, originally fromSlovenia,  is highly recommendable for group or private mountaineering,
ice climbing or skiing (alpine/telemark) tours.
He has a extensive local and international mountaineering and skiing experience,
speaks very good English and Japanese and has a very good personality.
He's Japanese wife is a skilled skier/mountain climber supporting the regular excursions.
